ARGE EINWANDAUFBRUCH
Josef Danner became increasingly interested in collaborations with other artists and the extended possibilites of combined abilities in a creative as well as technical way. His involvment with the artist-group ARGE einwandaufbruch has led to a body of collaborative work. With Heide Aufgewekt (graphic designer and filmmaker) and Georg Lebzelter (graphic artist specialized in print), he met two artists, who were interested in similar topics.
The collective was founded in 2016 on the occasion of being curated for the last exhibition in the Künstlerhaus Vienna before it underwent renovation. In 2018 the group was invited to create two major exhibitions in Bulgaria.
They work with large scale prints and video-installations. After Josef Danners death in 2020 the group has not yet expanded, but plans to continue working with other artists and will as
well integrate elements from Josef Danners archiv in future work.
